FURRY FRIENDS IN NEED - ARGOLIDA - GREECE

CARING FOR STRAYS - THE ABANDONED - THE UNWANTED - THE UNLOVED

About Us

In 2005 my husband, daughter and I moved to the Argolida region of Greece from the UK, along with our rescue cat, Jess.

Shortly after settling in, we found our first rescue kitten; abandoned at around 3 weeks old. Then a second kitten, only a few days old, left alone to die during the winter. Both kittens were hand-reared and were very lucky to survive.

Then came our first rescue dog, a street stray that was at risk of being poisoned by a local resident who didn't want the dog to take shelter and sleep outside his rental apartments.

Over the years we took in many more waifs and strays. We  re-home whenever possible.  With much needed help from others, forever homes have been found for many cats and dogs here in Greece and abroad.

Some of our resident furry friends are disabled or have special needs; blind, long-term health problems. It is very difficult to find forever homes for those with special needs, so most have stayed with us and are now part of our family.

Sadly we have lost many over time too. Some were just too sick or injured by the time they were rescued, sometimes all you can do is help them find peace...

We try to provide care, food and water to local street strays whenever we can. We also foster sick/injured cats and dogs until forever homes can be found for other care givers whenever possible. This is becoming increasingly difficult as we are caring for so many and receive very little help.

We do not receive any financial help. All our time and work is voluntary, funded by ourselves. Although we struggle to keep going at times we continue for our love of animals and know that we have made a difference to the lives of many animals in desperate need of help.

Sadly we lost our dear daughter, Kerry Ann in 2014 - She is much missed by all of us and will be forever in our hearts...
