Rainbow Bridge

Little Ollie was only a few days old when he was found, alone, crying his little heart out, a tiny wet, soiled ball of fluff...
We had two of the most wonderful years with him. Sadly he passed away, 19th Feb 2009 during an operation after being very poorly, he was only 2 years old ... forever young ... forever loved.

FELIX ~ GEORGIA ~ ALFIE

Felix, Georgia and Alfie were abandoned at a few weeks old. They joined our furry family and were much loved by us and the rest of the furry gang - can't believe we lost you all...
Felix was 16 months old when he went missing in Nov 2009...
Alfie was nearly 2 years old when he went missing in June 2010...
Sadly,Georgia passed away shortly after her 2nd birthday, July 2010...
Forever in our thoughts and hearts... xx

FAITH

Faith was a very poorly girl when we found her. We did everything we could to try and save her but we were just too late...
She passed away December 2010, she was only about 4 months old...
Wish we could have found you sooner sweetheart...

R.I.P GRACE

We found this poor dog shortly after moving to Greece. She was only with us for a few hours, we knew straight away that we would have to let her go...
We were so shocked and upset when we first saw her, trying desperately to climb into a rubbish bin scavenging for food...
She was only a young girl but you could see that she had endured so much pain and suffering in her short life. She was skin and bone, covered in sores, wounds, scars, fleas, ticks...
She had also recently given birth, you could tell that she'd had previous litters, probably one pregnancy after another. No sign of her pups though...
She was wearing a collar, someone must have left her alone to die amongst the rubbish, she was just so weak, she didn't stand a chance...
I picked her up to carry her to the car, she weighed nothing, how had she survived this long?
We had called the vet straight away but had to wait until she arrived at the surgery later that day, all we could do was take Grace home and make her as comfortable as possible...
Grace was put to sleep later that day, it's all we could do for her, she had suffered enough, she was dying when we found her...
We wanted her to have a name before she died. We chose Grace because no matter how much pain and suffering she'd had to endure, she still greeted us with a wag of her tail when we first approached her... heart breaking...
Bless you Grace, rest in peace sweet girl... xx

It's so important that we remember Grace's short life and her passing. Sadly there have been so many like her, and there will be many more. Although Grace was not alone when she died, many are born alone and they die alone...

R.I.P LITTLE ALPHA

Baby Alpha was one of three tiny undernourished female puppies that we found at rubbish bins at the side of a road. Her two sisters survived but tiny Alpha was the smallest of the litter and was just too weak, she died shortly after we rescued her...
These puppies had been taken from their mother and dumped, something we see all too often...

LITTLE TABBY BOY
We found this little kitten at the side of the road, only a few weeks old...
He was dying ... He had a huge tumor behind his eyes, one eye had been pushed out of the socket...
He was put to sleep shortly after...

LITTLE TABBY GIRL
This little girl was hit by a car and fatally injured, we found her on the road. We tried to call the emergency vet but, no reply...
We took her home, she died shortly after...

THREE TINY PUPS
These three tiny puppies were found with their dead litter mates. They were still alive but dying ... They were put to sleep shortly after...

LITTLE JAKE

Little Jake was one of three tiny kittens who were found in a plastic bag in a rubbish bin. They were only about 10-14 days old... Poor
Jake was much smaller and weaker than his brother and sister. He seemed to be doing ok but sadly, three days later, 30th March 2011, he passed away ... We did all we could for him but he just couldn't fight any more ... bless him...

JOSH

We lost our dear Josh 07.06.13
Such a shock ... he became very poorly very quickly and did not respond to treatment. He passed away two days later, he just faded away...
Only 2 years old...
Miss you Joshie ... forever in our hearts.

Found 31.08.11 - 5 dead puppies, only a few weeks old ... laying on the grass behind a row of rubbish bins...

TALIA

Rescued 07.09.11

This sweet little girl was only about 5-6 weeks old when we found her on the road. She was very poorly, severely malnourished and dehydrated. She also had a severe intestinal infection that did not respond to treatment, she only weighed 300g and continued to lose weight despite all the treatment and medicines ... we tried everything and Talia fought very hard but sadly she passed away 21.09.11

RUBY-DOO

Rescued - 08.04.11

Dear Ruby lost her battle with an awful disease...she was very poorly when we found her collapsed on the road after being repeatedly kicked by youths. Blood tests showed that she had a very serious disease caused by parasites. She underwent an intensive course of treatment but sadly her disease continued to progress and we had to let her go ... she was put to sleep at home 23.09.11
Ruby was only about 3-4 years old ... such a sweet brave girl

LITTLE MILLY

Rescued 16.12.11

Little Milly was one of four newborn puppies that we found at the rubbish bins. Someone had wrapped them up in an old carpet and tried to burn them by setting it on fire ... Thankfully the fire went out and all four puppies were still alive.
Little Milly was underdeveloped, much smaller than her brother and sisters. She seemed to be doing ok and was feeding well but struggled to gain weight and strength. Sadly she passed away 24.12.11, she was only about 9-10 days old...

R.I.P LITTLE DOG
Found - 02.02.12
We found his body amongst a pile of rubbish on the ground. His back legs bound at some point before he died - flesh wounds through to the bone... He must have been hung/strangled as a wire loop was still embedded in his neck...
I'll never forget ... standing there looking down at him - trying to imagine his fear and suffering ...who could have done this ... why?
Resting peacefully now in a better place xx

25.09.12 - LITTLE GINGER KITTEN
This poor little feral boy had terrible injuries - a broken leg and a huge hernia. We don't know how long he had to suffer like this...
We caught him and took him to the vets. Sadly he had to be put to sleep during surgery to try to repair the hernia. The vet tried so hard to save him, but...

Run free now little one - no more pain... xx

R.I.P WHITE/TORTIE GIRL - FOUND 10.11.12
We stopped to move this poor stray girl from the middle of the road - we thought she was dead ... she was still alive but had suffered terrible head trauma. She really didn't stand a chance...
We carefully wrapped her and carried her to the car ... she died in my arms a couple of minutes later...
Rest easy now sweet girl - sleep well... xx

LADY MELINA

Melina was found close to death in November 2012. She had an acute respiratory infection and was not expected to survive for very long, she was an old lady with many other health problems. With lots of love and care she was able to spend her last few months as a lady of leisure, taking things easy in comfort. This sweet gentle lady passed away 20.03.13

ELSA

We were shocked and sickened when we first saw this poor street stray in town. She had a severe head injury with an infected open wound. We managed to catch her that day (28.02.13) and took her straight to the vets. It wasn't looking good but we had to try to do whatever we could to help her. Sadly despite a long course of treatment the infection spread, we had to do the kindest thing and let this sweet brave girl go peacefully ... Elsa was put to sleep 04.04.13...

KIT-KAT

Kit-Kat was one of many strays that we've been feeding for some time. We first saw her with her mum when she was a young kitten two years ago. Sadly we found her dead by the side of the road 25th November 2013. She had been hit by a car ... hope she didn't suffer...

LADY LIZZIE

We found dear old Lizzie wandering on the road, emaciated and close to collapse back in 2012, she was skin and bone. Somehow she pulled through despite various health problems. She spent her last two years as a lady of leisure, taking it easy. Sadly she lost her sight over time and became confused and distressed due to dementia. We said goodbye and she went to sleep in February 2015...
